SQlab Innerbarends 411 | black
Barends come from the early days of mountain biking and are usually mounted on the end of the bar, the handlebar. From an ergonomic point of view, a very good idea. Over time, as the straight handlebars became less and raised handlebars more, the barends disappeared so slowly. Now that the handlebars have become flatter and much wider again, barends make sense again. However, we mount the barends inside - Innerbarends - hence the name with the small contradiction in itself.
Innerbarends are thus a new innovative evolution of the good old barends from the early days of mountain biking, but with a previously unprecedented safety aspect. Despite the changed grip position, the brake levers are permanently grippable. The feeling is somewhat similar to the triathlon attachment. The Innerbarends do not weigh much and do not interfere, best just try it out.
The Innerbarends fit almost always. They are mounted directly in the connection to the handle. Since almost all brake levers are so long that you can and should be pushed inward for better braking performance, there is almost always enough space between the handle and brake or circuit.
The innerbarends have no fixed area of application. They are primarily suitable for mountain biking: MTB Race, Cross Country, Marathon, Trailbike, Touring, All Mountain, to Enduro, to make the connecting stages easier. But also on normal bike handlebars on trekking bikes and even on the city bike the Innerbarends make a lot of sense.
