The P Zero Race was designed to pack all the benefits of Tubetype technology into a race-ready all-rounder that outperforms all previously developed folding cycling tires, including tubulars. After three years of development work with the fastest racers in the World Tour, including 2019 UCI champions, Pirelli designed this new folding tire. With the new SmartEVO compound and TechBELT casing technology, it offers a superior product to professional riders, as well as cycling enthusiasts!

The new SmartEVO compound uses a blend of three different polymers each of which contributes its own specific property and yet at the same time guarantees a perfect balance of what are actually opposing properties: the goal for every rubber engineer. To complete this project, Pirelli used its extraordinary experience gained in over 100 years of motorsport and its vast know-how in cycling. Our in-depth knowledge and chemical expertise enabled Pirelli's material engineers and chemists to use this ternary polymer compound in such an advanced way as to ensure the "intelligent" behavior that characterizes the outstanding properties of the SmartEVO compound. Perfect grip whether wet or dry, coupled with low rolling resistance.
