Maxxis Minion DHR II MTB tire 29x2.40 inch Dual EXO WT TR foldable | Skinwall

With completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal rear tire for aggressive gravity riding. With the side lugs of the legendary DHF, which have been slightly widened for even better cornering grip, it has extreme cornering grip. The center lugs have beveled lugs for better acceleration. Notches on the lugs improve transition when turning into corners. Part of the center lugs have a paddle shape, they dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control.

Wide Trail Casing (WT).
This special casing design optimizes tread layout and tire shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and get a too angular shape on wide rims and thus a less than optimal performance.
WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35mm, but work great on any rim with an inner dimension between 25 to 40mm.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. Thus, the tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid.
Also "normal" MAXXIS MTB tires can be mounted like tires of other manufacturers tubeless with sealant, because the carcass fabrics are very dense.
Officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by MAXXIS are but only the new MAXXIS TR models. The tubeless mounting of other models is at your own responsibility.

Note: We strictly advise against the use of ammonia-containing sealing milk. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.

EXO sidewall protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. Thus, the performance of the tires remains unchanged convincingly good.

DualCompound
Two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the mixtures plans Maxxis after the desired characteristics of the tires.
