The XLC Link chain lock CC-X25 is designed for use with 11-speed setups, i.e. bikes with 11 sprockets on the rear cassette, and works simply with two parts that are pushed together and snap into place with a little force. Quick-release links such as the XLC CC-X25 chain lock are becoming the industry standard when it comes to connecting the two ends of a chain. They have an important job in one of the most important components of your bike and minimize the risk of things going wrong - as they can with the traditional replacement pin method. A quick release also makes temporarily removing the chain much easier, so you can clean your bike and chain thoroughly.
